Hen Party FAQs

The questions hen organisers ask most often when planning a visit.

Do we need to be super fit or super confident?

No. Most hen groups are mixed ability. We recommend the best options and adapt sessions so everyone feels included and supported.

Can we choose activities that suit different confidence levels?

Yes. Many groups mix a calmer activity like canoeing or archery with something more energetic like BattleZone or gorge walking.

Can people attend without taking part?

Yes. Spectators are welcome, and there are great walks nearby along the River Spey and places to relax while others take part.

What should we wear and bring?

Comfortable outdoor clothing, layers and waterproofs are best. For wet activities we’ll send a kit list, including a towel and change of clothes.

Can we get food and drink on site?

Yes. Our Clubhouse Café is open around activities, and we can arrange simple pre-orders for group bookings on request.

Is there a bar for after activities?

Yes. We have a fully licensed Clubhouse bar, ideal for a post-activity drink and a relaxed catch-up together.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We run in most conditions and adapt sessions to keep things safe and enjoyable. If conditions make an activity unsafe, we’ll discuss the best options.

How do bookings and payments work?

Once your plan is agreed, we secure the booking with a deposit based on your best estimate of numbers. Final numbers are confirmed nearer the date.

"Fantastic experience for a Hen party!"

A group of seven of us went gorge walking for a hen party. Mixed ability in the group but nothing was a problem for our guides who were very professional while making the whole experience really enjoyable and fun. Overall, a really great experience and would use the company again.

"Hen party team raft building"

What a great day at Cairngorms Activities! We were a party of 11 and took part in the raft building. It was so much fun, such a laugh, and the facilities and staff were 10/10. We were lucky and the sun was shining which helped the fun, however, in any weather this activity would have been really good. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back in future to try some other activities.

"Kirsty's Hen Weekend"

Nine of the Hen's visited Cairngorms Activities to take part in the clay pigeon shooting. It was a wonderful experience spent under Jamie's tuition and care. Everyone went away raving about their time and although mixed abilities, was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Definitely would recommend this to others. From the first contact with them to the last, it was a very professionally arranged activity. Other activities going on all around all looked good fun with all involved having a great time.
